Software Engineer (.NET) – Hybrid in Preston – Up to £42,500

Role 

You’ll start by getting stuck into an existing, business-critical platform. You will start by learning the ropes, understanding the domain, and making meaningful improvements from day one.

Within the first year, you’ll have the chance to move into greenfield development, helping shape brand-new products and working with more modern tech. It’s a rare balance of stability and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Working across .NET / .NET Core and C# applications
• Supporting and enhancing existing systems
• Contributing to the evolution of a more modern tech stack
• Collaborating on front-end work (Blazor)
• Getting involved in new product development and AI-driven features
• Being part of a genuinely collaborative, close-knit team

What they’re looking for:

• Around 2+ years’ experience with .NET
• Comfortable working across both legacy and modern environments
• Solid SQL and backend experience
• Exposure to newer frameworks/approaches
• WebForms, Blazor, Razor
• An interest in emerging tech (AI, automation, etc.)
• Someone who values teamwork, honesty, and getting stuck in
