This is a mostly remote role, with the flexibility to work from home and just one day a month required in Sheffield.

Responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you’ll be part of a team that takes ownership of the entire development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software solutions.
• Working across the full technology stack, from architecture and design to deployment and monitoring.
• Contributing to the development of mission-critical systems that ensure reliability and safety.

Qualifications

We’re looking for individuals who bring:

• A proven ability to deliver working software solutions.
• Experience with, or a willingness to learn, technologies such as .NET, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, WPF, Azure SQL, AWS, C#, JavaScript, and Web APIs.
• A broad technical knowledge base (specific maritime experience is not required).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an openness to share and receive feedback.
• A collaborative and curious mindset, with a passion for building dependable software.

Day-to-Day

Here’s what a typical day might look like:

• Collaborating with your team during stand-ups to discuss progress and challenges.

• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure smooth operation of systems.
• Learning new technologies and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.
