DevOps Engineer - Azure / Terraform– Lisbon (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cloud and on-premises platforms. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, creating, and maintaining pipelines for publishing code to Azure.
• Coaching and guiding teams on intra-day deployment mechanisms and DevOps principles.
• Driving DevOps maturity across squads and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Managing Azure infrastructure across all environments and implementing auto-scaling solutions.
• Monitoring performance, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing improvements.
• Creating and maintaining monitoring systems at all levels (infrastructure, app, data).
• Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Proposing and implementing time-saving initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Commoditizing cloud services and identifying engineering limits before they’re reached.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is not only technically skilled but also mission-driven and eager to make a difference. The ideal candidate will have:

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience as an engineer working on Azure solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform and Azure Resource Management Templates.
• Experience setting up and managing Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud-native, microservices, and containerized systems (preferably Kubernetes).
• A strong desire for continuous improvement and an Agile mindset.

Preferred Skills:

• Commercial experience in software delivery, systems administration, or build and deployment engineering.
• Familiarity with IT solutions in regulated markets or industries.
• Awareness of the latest trends in DevOps methodologies, tools, and emerging solutions.

Day-to-Day

Your day-to-day will be dynamic and impactful, including:

• Collaborating with squads to enhance deployment mechanisms.
• Monitoring infrastructure and application performance to ensure optimal functionality.
• Coaching engineers to adopt DevOps best practices and principles.
• Proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they impact operations.
• Innovating and implementing solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Engaging with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
