Business Development Manager – Technology – York (outskirts / hybrid / remote)

#TeamCandour have partnered with a multi-award winning Microsoft Gold Partner to add an accomplished Business Development Manager to their thriving sales department to focus on the growth of their services within the UK Public Sector.

Key requirements:

  • To uncover and record on company systems all important customer information, key contacts, organisation structure, competitive activity, contract timetable, project plans, in-house technical ability, credit worthiness etc
  • To consistently, respond to all customer information/quotation requests to a high standard and in a timely manner, following up these requests and closing the opportunity.
  • To gain a position where it is possible to quote and win business/agreements/projects dislodging incumbent suppliers gradually or in their entirety
  • To maintain a high level of understanding of all relevant products and services
  • To consistency, maintain appropriate customer records on all Phoenix systems
  • To consistently, provide accurate, well thought through, sales forecasts and reports to the Sector Sales Manager as required
  • To set customers’ expectations effectively
  • To effectively prioritise workload and adhere to customer contracted SLA’s where in place
  • To give advice and support without prejudice, to all areas of sales.

Key skills & experience:

  • IT industry experience preferably around Software Licensing. IT Infrastructure, Cloud, IT Services, Software Asset Management and Managed Service
  • High level of understanding of Procurement route and Tender Frameworks
  • First Rate Communication and Presentation Skills
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to plan
  • Ability to prioritise work under pressure, work without supervision and use initiative to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Strong team player
  • Experience of conducting external meetings and capturing actions
  • Flexible approach to travel and the working day
