Infrastructure Support Analyst – York (outskirts – hybrid/remote)

 

#TeamCandour have been retained to source an additional Infrastructure Support Analyst to join the burgeoning team of a thriving Microsoft Gold Partner based on the outskirts of York working on a hybrid / remote basis.

So firstly the key technical skills:

 

  • Demonstrable experience in an IT infrastructure support or similar role.
  • Microsoft products (Windows, SCCM, O365, Intune, Azure, SQL)
  • VMWare (vCenter, ESX, Horizon)
  • Storage management and administration
  • Experience of configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP networking, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs and VPNs
  • Understanding of ITIL

And how you will be using them day to day:

 

This role has touch points with all areas of the business including senior leadership and with people of differing technical literacy, so a clear and confident communicator is required. Phoenix is subject to various standards and governance controls of which this role will play a key part in maintaining the technical requirements:

  • Maintain the internal network, server, and client estate, as well as externally provided IT services, including potential involvement with our customer-facing environments.
  • Maintain and manage the company’s IT security systems, including patching and vulnerability management.
  • Identify weaknesses in line with IT industry developments and implement improvements.
  • Monitor and manage backups, resolving any issues may that occur.
  • Implement IT equipment and services, working with various teams within the organization.
  • Create, maintain and improve technical documentation.
  • Provide day-to-day IT support to the business were required.
  • Completing administrative tasks, acknowledging events, checking security logs, logging, and progressing change requests.
