Disaster Recovery Specialist – Halifax (hybrid remote)

#TeamCandour are working with a thriving financial services player to source an accomplished Disaster Recovery Specialist based out of their offices in Halifax on a hybrid basis – typically 1 or 2 days a week in the office although we can be flexible for that sought after superstar!

What would you be responsible for in this role?

• Assist in ensuring that the Company’s objectives regarding IT-DR are met and that it fulfils its legal, contractual and business-related requirements.
• Looking for opportunities to continuously improve the IT-DR governance framework for IT and the UK business operations
• Assist in the creation, review and updates to the existing IT DR policies, procedures and runbooks including standardising documentation, streamlining processes and managing exceptions
• Identify and analyse the gaps and issues in current DR plans

What skills are we looking for?

• Good knowledge of IT environment / solution plans and strategies
• Strong knowledge of modern disaster recovery technologies (vMWare - Veeam and Zerto)
• Knowledge of Operational Risk management and its application in relation to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
• Process focussed with the ability to interpret technical information into business friendly language
