Commercial Manager – Managed Services – York (hybrid remote)

 

#TeamCandour have been retained by a thriving Managed Services provider and multi-award-winning Microsoft Gold Partner to source an accomplished Commercial Manager to join their growing team.

 

The role:

 

The Commercial Manager will work closely with the service delivery teams to understand each of the organisations Managed Service offerings to ensure pricing models & profitability are on point.

You will be required to provide input into future Managed Service commercial models, their tiers, features and the value of these features to ensure customers can clearly see the benefits of higher service tiers.

You will also assist Account Managers and the Business Development Managers by providing commercial input to help them create high-quality and competitive proposals for managed services.

You will also be required to coordinate with internal teams such as delivery, finance, legal, and compliance as appropriate to ensure the success and profitability of our services.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 

  • An understanding of the managed services commercial models used withing the IT industry today.
  • An interest in the services industry and an appetite to refine the commercial practices required for continued success
  • Demonstrable experience of working with customer procurement teams and knowledge of their procurement practices including tenders, frameworks etc. across public and private sector.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • A general understanding of the current trends within IT, both around the drivers organisations have for new technology adoption to solve problems and achieve strategy and their strategies for the delivery of internal services
  • The ability to identify and maximise opportunities for cross selling and up selling within our services portfolio
  • Good knowledge of the commercial elements of ICT managed services, outsourcing and project cycles
