It’s very rare nowadays you get the opportunity to join an industry leading product shop that is already at the height of its powers.

Having complete global market control of a product that is used in entertainment environments across the world.

You will be leading a modern, agile development function who have some of the best technical minds from the Yorkshire area.

Not only will you control the output of this function but you, alongside the CTO, will drive the strategy, design and implementation for a product that has already won numerous “best-in-class” awards.  

I’ll try and avoid the recruitment cliches wherever possible but it is very rare that opportunities like this arise.

So what does the ideal candidate look like?

You will be as comfortable leading teams as you are writing code – this is by no means a completely hands-off occupation. You will be the technical champion for the business, driving and instilling best practice and ensuring that the stack is kept as modern as possible.

You will have a passion for bringing the best out of your people – you will be completely responsible for your development function. You will be leading, coaching and developing your team. Being the lead voice on future recruitment and the growth of the firm technically.

You won’t be scared of a stack that is slightly out of the ordinary – given you’re adopting a pre-existing product, this isn’t your bread and butter Microsoft stack. Expect modern .NET, React and React Native, relational databases and bags of AWS.
